Watch out
Hidden costs
Video credits don't equal videos
Critical to understand. Basic talking-head = 1 credit. Lip-synced avatar = 3-5 credits. Full AI ad with multiple scenes = 5-10 credits. Lite's 100 credits often produces 20-30 actual usable videos if you use advanced features. Plan accordingly.
Custom avatar one-time cost
Stock avatars are free. Custom avatars (your own talent, branded characters) cost $500-2,000 one-time per avatar plus credits per video. Enterprise sometimes bundles custom avatars; lower tiers always pay separately.
Translation and dubbing credits
Multi-language output consumes extra credits per language. A single video translated into 5 languages typically runs 5-15 credits depending on quality settings - meaningful chunk of a Lite tier's monthly allocation.
Overage charges
Exceed your monthly credit allocation and you're billed per additional credit at $0.40-1.00 depending on tier. Caps reset at billing date, not calendar month - track usage carefully or set alerts.
Per-seat scaling on Pro
Pro includes 2 seats; additional seats cost $30-50/mo. A 4-person team = $95 + 2×$40 = $175/mo. At 5+ seats you're effectively into Enterprise quote territory.
Pick the right plan in 60 seconds
Free if you've never used Creatify. Treat it as a one-week try-before-buy. 10 credits gets you 2-4 actual videos if you experiment with multiple formats.
Lite ($45/mo) if you're a solo creator or small DTC operator producing 20-50 video ads per month with mostly basic formats. The most common starting tier.
Pro ($95/mo) if you need consistent use of advanced features (lip-sync, custom avatars) or you're producing 60+ videos per month. The upgrade is usually triggered by either advanced-feature credit costs or 2-seat collaboration needs.
Enterprise only if you need custom avatars bundled, API automation, or specific integrations. Without those needs, Pro with extra seats is cheaper than Enterprise quotes.
Plan-by-plan: what each tier really gives you
Free is an extended demo. 10 credits = 2-10 videos depending on feature complexity. Useful for quality validation only - is the talking-head good enough for your brand, do the templates work, does the UGC style match your category. Not a production tier.
Lite ($45) is the first real production tier. 100 credits, HD output, no watermark, commercial rights. The big constraint is advanced features - lip-sync and AI avatars eat credits fast, so Lite users typically stick to basic talking-head and B-roll formats.
Pro ($95) is the workflow tier. 300 credits + advanced features included (not extra). 2 seats, priority queue, 5 workspaces. The upgrade from Lite is usually about either credit volume or unlocking advanced features without overage anxiety.
Enterprise is purpose-built for custom needs - your own avatars baked in, API for automation, integration work, dedicated success manager. Pricing is custom; validate against current Pro + extra seats before signing.

Upgrade and downgrade triggers
Free → Lite trigger: you've validated quality and want sustained workflow access. Usually within 7-14 days of starting.
Lite → Pro trigger: either consistent overage on credits (paying $20-30/mo in extras), OR routinely using advanced features (lip-sync, custom avatars), OR adding a second seat. Any of those three, upgrade.
Pro → Enterprise trigger: custom avatar needs, API access for automation, integration work, or 5+ seats. Without at least one of those, stay on Pro and add seats.
Downgrade triggers: if you're on Pro using <100 credits/month consistently with no advanced features, Lite covers the workflow. If you're on Enterprise without using API or custom avatars, Pro likely covers it cheaper. Audit annually.
Pricing-plan trade-offs vs alternatives
vs HeyGen: HeyGen is talking-head specialist with cheaper per-video math for pure talking-head workflows. Creatify wins if you need format diversity (talking-head + B-roll + UGC).
vs Arcads: Arcads is UGC-style specialist with deeper actor library. Better for high-volume UGC ads. Creatify wins on format diversity.
vs Runway: Runway is B-roll and creative video specialist. Better for narrative or complex generative video. Creatify wins on ad-focused workflow simplicity.
vs Shuttergen: Shuttergen layers competitive intel and brand-context generation on top of variant production. Different category - Creatify generates from a prompt; Shuttergen generates from a brief informed by what's actually winning in your category. Complementary tools.
